ADVANCED THEATRE WORKSHOPS
The Advanced Theatre Workshops are incredibly informative and interactive. Participants get a full understanding of how the theatrical industry operates. Each workshop includes important skill sets of how acting, dancing and music education are relevant in performing.
The 730-theatre, primary mission is devoted to supporting arts activities that ensure access for the historically underserved populations which includes African Americans and the LGBT communities.
The 730-theatre, is unique within the city of Chicago arts environment because of its increasing presence of African Americans in all aspects of Performing Arts. We not only provide opportunities to talented youth and adults in theatrical performances, but we also provide a venue for directors and writers to showcase their talent in writing and directing Broadway and/or original works in the form of plays/musicals.
The 730-theatre, addresses the gap in racial equality, inclusion and accessibilities' within arts programming for Blacks. Equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts is critical to our field and our local communities within our city particularly now, with race and class issues at the forefront of national and global attention.
